Angkor Handicraft Association
A handicraft-sector association with a published local-origin identification scheme.
Role in the craft landscape
Angkor Handicraft Association supports connections between Siem Reap craft producers and markets. Its own website describes member information and a Seal of Authenticity scheme. The association is not one artist or one workshop, and its name should not be used as if it covered all Cambodian craft production. For a visitor, it offers one documented route into questions about where an object is made and how a local producer is identified.
Use the scheme with specific questions
Read the current scheme description and ask how it applies to the item you are considering. A label should help you obtain a clearer account, not discourage questions about materials, care or the actual maker. Independent artists outside a scheme may also produce locally. For business enquiries, contact the association about current members and terms rather than reusing an old directory as a live supplier list. CamboArts records the association’s stated role without certifying individual goods.
