IKTT Shop and Museum
A city collection linking Cambodian textiles with tools and the research of Kikuo Morimoto.
The collection
IKTT places the Kikuo Morimoto Collection museum above its city shop in Viheachen village. The official museum description brings textiles, weaving tools and research records into the same visit. This makes it particularly useful before purchasing new cloth: the objects and documents encourage questions about technique, motif and the people who transmitted knowledge. The museum is not the same destination as IKTT’s village workshops.
Plan a focused visit
Choose one theme rather than trying to absorb the whole collection at once. For example, compare a motif in cloth with ornament on a weaving tool, while keeping any interpretation tied to its label. Ask about access to the upstairs exhibition if stairs are a concern. Any practical activity, purchase or specialist conversation should be confirmed separately. Keep the collection’s historical objects clearly distinguished from contemporary textiles offered for sale.
